Sang Woo Kang will be teaming up with conductor Alexey Shabalin and fellow pianist Ms. Rosalind Chua to perform the highly acclaimed Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens with Providence College’s Orchestra and Camerata! The concert will be held Sunday, November 20 at 2:00 PM, Ryan Concert Hall in the Smith Center at Providence College. Parking is available through the 165 Eaton Street entrance.

In the past, Dr. Kang has collaborated with conductor Alexey Shabalin to perform the Mozart Piano Concerto in A Major with the Providence College Camerata, a highly selective orchestra ensemble made of Providence College’s best instrumentalists.

Alexey Shabalin, as director of PC Camerata as well as the official PC orchestra, currently additionally serves as Artistic-Director of the Rhode Island Youth Philharmonic Orchestras since 2003. He also founded and conducts the Rhode Island Youth Soloists, a chamber orchestra of the top string players, as well as other ventures. In addition, he teaches private lessons to a large number of students in both Boston and Providence. As a performer and solo violinist, he has played in various orchestras and chamber groups throughout Russia and the States.
